Jenn Gulbrand - Counting Life's Blessings

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”

-Eckhart Tolle

The holiday season is swiftly approaching and with it comes constant reminders to be thankful for life’s many blessings. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday because it’s centered around community with friends and family (and food of course). But the holidays can also bring up other less than positive emotions. We all know how important it is to be grateful but have you fully mastered the art of living in a continual state of gratitude? Or do you, like most of us, occasionally slip back into lower vibrations of obsessing about what you want, but do not have?

For me, it’s a daily endeavor to live in a state of gratitude. I believe in the Universal Law of Attraction and have experienced its power over and over again. You’ve heard it said that what we think about, we bring about…and it’s true that our thoughts and emotions are made up of energy that quite literally creates our reality. When we count our blessings and live in gratitude, the universe responds and the world opens up to us. When we consciously choose joy and express appreciation for what we already have, we attract more of what we want into our lives. And similarly, when we allow ourselves to focus on what is missing, we attract more lack and disappointment.

It sounds so simple but the truth is that living with an attitude of gratitude takes practice. It can be challenging to stay in an abundance mindset when the world around us emphasizes what is void in our lives. Often times those lower vibrations of fear, regret, and isolation can creep in and wreak havoc on our mindset. But I have learned not to allow myself to stay in the dark. There is always something to be grateful for when we stop long enough to notice. It’s on those days when we’re feeling frustrated and/or stuck that it’s most important to be mindful of our blessings. When we can look at our lives, in moments of challenge, and find the blessings, we are able to shift our mindset and transform our reality. It can be something as simple as a warm cup of tea or the fact that the sun is shining in through our window. Once we feel thankful for something that makes us smile from the inside out, we begin to operate on a higher frequency and attract even more abundance our way. Living in a state of gratitude is contagious as the energy we emanate impacts those around us. When we are in the flow we just keep attracting more goodness into our lives and into the lives of those around us. We can all generate more gratitude around us with small, daily, unexpected, undeserved acts of love, compassion, grace, and forgiveness. Count your blessings today and every day and watch how the universe shows up for you.

High Vibes + Grateful Heart! XO, Jenn

Making Friends with Your Nervous System

Making Friends with Your Nervous System

your nervous system is at the center of everything you experience — your energy, your emotions, your health, even your relationships. And when you start to understand how it works, you can stop fighting against it and begin working with it. This is what I call making friends with your nervous system.
